New Sounds from the British Isles is a collection of original compositions by Myriam Mees in the style of Irish, Scottish, and English folk music. Among these 12 pieces are jigs, reels, hornpipes, and strathspeys that may be played either as fiddle solos with backup from the included CD, or as fiddle duets with another player. The book includes two violin parts (each is printed in score form, with both parts on the same page) and a play-along CD.
